Our flagship restaurant is located at La Tortuga Hotel here in Playa del Carmen on 10th Avenue between 12th and 14th Streets. El Bistro @ La Tortuga Hotel has an area with air conditioning, a terrace facing 10th Avenue, and a comfortable interior patio nestled amongst a garden next to the swimming pool. Our Chef Jorge Hidalgo from Veracruz, Mexico mixes the cooking heritage of his homeland with his experiences in International Cruises and hotels to create the unique dishes in El Bistro.

This fusion has been shaped into the breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner, using mainly local ingredients combined with other select products to give a unique touch of modern gastronomy. The menu is updated frequently to offer a wide variety of tastes and experiences. All dishes are made fresh and the kitchen is flexible towards our clients with special dietary needs or particular tastes.
El Bistro also offers the option of opening your own bottle for a small fee of $50 pesos, which is waved for our repeat guests.

The restaurant is beachfront, near Los Lirios, and is also the beach club for Cabanas Tulum which we have taken new management over. There are hammocks all along the beach and in that area and the beach club and restaurant El Bistro is open to everyone.
